The Programme

Overview

The WomenWise mentoring programme supports women exploring pathways into the technology industry through structured, one-to-one mentoring and career development support.

Delivered over twelve weeks, the programme combines professional mentoring with practical insight into technology careers, helping participants build confidence, broaden aspirations and take informed next steps.

Programme Structure

  • At the core of the programme is a six-month mentoring relationship, supported by a clear framework and regular guidance from the WomenWise coordination team.

    Participants can expect:

    • Monthly one-to-one mentoring sessions

    • Support with goal-setting and reflection

    • Regular check-ins from the coordination team to ensure mentoring relationships are working well

This structure ensures consistency, while allowing flexibility for each mentoring pair.

  • WomenWise provides access to shared resources and spaces designed to support engagement throughout the programme.

    This includes:

    • A members-only area with programme information and resources

    • Mentoring materials for both mentors and mentees

    • A WhatsApp group to stay connected, share updates and build community

These elements help participants feel supported and connected beyond individual mentoring sessions.

  • Alongside mentoring, the programme offers a series of optional activities designed to broaden exposure to the technology industry.

    These may include:

    • Skills-focused workshops and webinars

    • Networking events and career panels

    • Opportunities to hear from women working across different tech roles and sectors

These sessions complement mentoring by providing insight, inspiration and opportunities to learn from a wider community.

How you can get involved

Become a mentee

WomenWise mentors are professionals working in technology or related fields who want to support women entering the tech ecosystem.
